“Don’t put pricing on my website, I don’t want to scare anyone away"
If I had a dollar for every client who has told me that.
You mean, you don’t want to scare away people who can’t afford you? 😳
By hiding clues about your pricing (e.g., “Starting at $X…) or leaving off pricing entirely, you can expect 3 probable scenarios:
#1 You spend your valuable time hearing about someone’s struggles only to have them go with a cheaper option.
#2 You win them over, but you now have to deal with an anxious client who has invested above their means.
#3 You’re won over with a lower price, but now you’re left to do your best work for lesser value.
(Or, #4 **crickets** because who has time for this 🙀 cat-and-mouse game?!)
Who wins here?!
NO ONE… Hard pass! ❌
Can you imagine how frustrating it would be if you walked into a store and nothing had a price tag?
The next time you shop on Amazon, count how many sellers have “Schedule a 1:1 to learn about pricing.”
ZERO. Why? Because smart sellers know, when I’m primed to buy, you shouldn’t put up any barriers to block me.
If you’re worried your visitors will get shell shock from your #prices, there’s one problem:
💣 Your prices are too high for your audience.
The solution? ➔ ➔ ➔ ✅ Either adjust your PRICES or adjust your AUDIENCE.
