Virtual Coffee Agenda
So, you’ve decided to grow your network and get connected to some women who can help you grow your business.
We’re big fans of Virtual Coffee.
A Virtual Coffee is a 15 min Zoom (or video conference of your choice) that can be done back-to-back, doesn’t require shoes (or even pants for that matter), and costs you nothing other than 5 mins to prep, 15 mins to complete, and 10 mins to wrap up... for a whopping total 30 mins of your day.
AKA a super-low commitment way to find out if there’s potential for a more long term or deeper relationship.
Since we’re pros at this, we decided to make an easy-to-follow agenda to help you, and the woman on the other side of the computer, get the most out of your virtually caffeinated meeting.

**Our Tried-and-True Agenda**
[5 mins before start time]
Check out her Instagram feed and her latest posts. Note what she’s working on, the size of her following, how much engagement she has, and the topics she posts most about. Is she running a contest? Where does she live? Does she have a dog? Find anything that helps you learn what she’s up to and what she’s passionate about.
[meeting kickoff]
Thank her for accepting the invitation to connect, then immediately share the objective for the chat: To brainstorm 1-2 ways that you can support one another. Suggest that you each start with an introduction of what you’re working on and the significant milestones you have ahead.
[intros]
Let her go first. Ask her to tell you what she’s working on and what her goals are for the next 2 weeks to 3 months. Then, you go.
[mine for opportunities]
Be listening for the following keywords: reach, connect, find, help, get access to, build, learn, fix, etc.

[close]
Decide on 1-2 things you’ll do for her and 1-2 things she’ll do for you. If it doesn’t feel balanced because one woman has more to give, that’s okay. This is the start of a long-term connection. You can decide to circle back in the future when you’re able to even the score.
[post Virtual Coffee wrap up]
Do the quick and easy things you’ve promised in the 15 mins after your call (this is why you’ve blocked your calendar for 30 mins vs. 15) The goal isn’t to add to your to-do list, so follow her on Instagram, make an email intro, whatever you can do in 15 mins, right then. For larger asks like doing a how-to session with her, schedule that while on the call or send her your availability (or better-yet Calendly link) right away. It’s important to keep momentum with your new connection and make quick wins for each other.
The most important thing to remember is that your goal is not to connect with every woman. Your goal is to connect with women who believe what you believe. When your values are aligned, helping each other becomes easy. If it feels forced or awkward, agree to something small, like following each other on Instagram, and move on.
